Our Story:

Joe Kerner was a business consultant who worked with business owners and executives to increase productivity and profitability, and improve operations and people.  He worked with businesses in all sectors and fields, and was very successful with his clients. 

One day a dentist contacted him and asked for help in his practice. Within 6 months, this practice doubled its production and income. The dentists referred a couple of other dentists to Joe, and their practices doubled or tripled as well. Within 2 years, most of Joe’s clients were dentists, and his consulting group became expert in dental operations.

Joe then had the idea of owning his own practices. But he wasn’t a dentist, so he approached one of his clients and they worked out an agreement to buy and manage several dental practices. Joe brought in a third partner to handle all the legal, financial and corporate matters. 

During this time, Joe met Dr. Nader Hawa. They hit it off perfectly, and became a terrific and successful partnership. Joe recognized Dr. Hawa as a superb clinician, an excellent communicator, and a very successful educator of other dentists. 

This group purchased 9 dental practices, and was very successful. The partners sold these practices to a large corporation. Nader Hawa and Joe Kerner then started and purchased additional practices and created another successful venture. 

As their success grew, so did word get out that Dr. Nader Hawa and Joe Kerner were experts at improving dental practices, increasing production and income, increasing staff ability and organization. Nader and Joe were genuine experts because they owned and managed their own successful practices. They were in the trenches, facing all the same challenges as their clients. 

Nader and Joe formed The Guident Group (Guiding Dentists), sharing their hard-won knowledge, experiences, successes and failures with other dentists.
